How to Transfer Shipping Fees PRO
Automatically split and transfer WooCommerce shipping fees to connected Stripe accounts using global or product-level rules.
Overview#
By default, Split Pay only transfers amounts based on product line items. With the Shipping Fee Transfers feature, you can also split shipping charges and route them to your connected Stripe accounts — independently from product transfer amounts.
Shipping transfers are planned as separate Stripe transfer legs from product transfers, even when both go to the same connected account.
Shipping fee transfers are a PRO feature. Upgrade to Pro to enable shipping transfers.
Two types of shipping transfers#
The plugin provides two levels of control for shipping fee transfers:
1. Global shipping transfers
Store-wide recipient rows — each with a percentage or fixed amount — apply to the shipping pool left after any product-level shipping transfers. See Global Shipping Transfers for setup.
2. Product-level shipping transfers
Apply a percentage or fixed amount to a product or variation’s shipping share from the product’s Split Pay Plugin tab. See Product-level Shipping Transfers for setup.
How the two levels interact#
Split Pay calculates product-level shipping transfers first and subtracts only the amounts assigned. Global shipping rows then use the remaining order-level shipping pool.
Tip: Use product-level shipping only where a recipient needs a product-specific amount. Shipping not assigned there remains available to the global rows.
How shipping amounts are calculated#
For standard WooCommerce orders, Split Pay divides the collected shipping among shippable order lines by quantity, using exact minor-unit rounding so the shares add up to the shipping charged. A product-level percentage or fixed rule applies to that line’s share.
Product prices do not determine shipping shares. Global rows apply to the shipping pool remaining after product-level shipping amounts are assigned.
