Resetting Split Pay to defaults
Refresh a stale connected-account list with the built-in reset control. Use the explicit uninstall option only when you need to remove stored settings and financial records.
Start here. Reset / reconnect Split Pay accounts rebuilds the locally stored connected-account catalog from Stripe. It keeps your saved Stripe keys, transfer history, vendor debt, and product-level split values.
Use the built-in account reset#
- Go to Split Pay → Global Transfer Settings.
- Scroll to Reset / reconnect Split Pay accounts.
- Click the button and wait for the success message.
- Open Connect Status and confirm the correct Test and Live accounts appear.
Before clearing anything, Split Pay verifies the platform keys it uses to rebuild the connected-account catalog and requires at least one usable key. If one of those keys cannot be verified or cannot list connected accounts, or if the catalog keys for one mode belong to different Stripe platforms, the reset stops and keeps the existing local account state unchanged.
What the account reset changes#
The account reset rebuilds the local connected-account catalog and its sync state. Split Pay clears the stored list and fetch-state flags, then re-syncs the available Test and Live accounts from Stripe.
It does not remove:
- Your saved platform Stripe keys.
- Your transfer history or vendor-debt records.
- Your global, product-level, or variation-level split settings.
- Any connected account or transfer in Stripe.
Need to erase local data?#
The account reset is not a data-erasure tool. For the supported destructive-uninstall option, exactly what it removes, what remains on products, and the multisite rules, see Uninstalling Split Pay & your PRO subscription.
Subscription and license#
Resetting connected accounts does not cancel your PRO subscription. Uninstalling the plugin also does not cancel recurring billing. See Uninstalling Split Pay & your PRO subscription before deleting the plugin.
After resetting#
After an account reset, review Connect Status and confirm the routed recipients are ready in the mode your store uses. After a destructive uninstall and reinstall, follow Quick Start and enter your platform keys again.
