Transfer Reversals (Refunds)

This page explains how refunds of split transfer amounts are handled when using the Split Pay Plugin.

Refunds of transfer amounts are not handled automatically.

To initiate a reversal of a transfer, you must go into the Transfers section of the Stripe Dashboard and select the desired transfer:

Then, click the Reverse Transfer button:

Then, set the amount of the transfer reversal:

The transfer details should then update to display the amount of the reversal:

Transfers can only be reversed if the connected account has a sufficient Payout Balance to cover the reversal, otherwise, you may receive the below error from Stripe.

From what we know of Stripe's policies, which are subject to change, there appears to not be any time limitation for when transfers can be reversed.
